INSTALL APP

Install NPC JAIL as a standalone app — it launches fullscreen from your home screen, works offline, and updates itself automatically. Installing is free and doesn't change anything about the site itself; it only changes how you open it.

The install button

The button above appears automatically when your browser supports installing this site (Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers). If you don't see it, your browser doesn't offer PWA installs on this device — use the manual steps below instead.

How to install

Desktop (Chrome, Edge, or any Chromium browser):

  1. Open this site.
  2. Click the install icon in the address bar, or press the INSTALL APP button above.
  3. Confirm in the dialog — the app opens in its own window.

Android (Chrome):

  1. Open this site in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen — or use the INSTALL APP button above.
  3. Tap Install when the prompt appears.

iPhone / iPad (Safari):

iOS doesn't show an install button, so install manually:

  1. Open this site in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen → Add.

Firefox & other browsers:

Firefox doesn't support installing PWAs, so the INSTALL APP button above won't appear there. Use your browser's standard shortcut feature instead:

  • Firefox (desktop) — drag the site icon from the address bar onto your desktop, or open the menu → More tools → Create Shortcut…
  • Firefox (Android) — tap the ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen
  • Any other browser — look for Add to Home screen / Add to Desktop in its menu; the site works the same in a normal tab.

After installing

  • The app opens in fullscreen with its own icon on your home screen or desktop.
  • Updates are applied automatically in the background.
  • Uninstalling works like any other app — remove the icon from your device. Your NPC JAIL data stays untouched.
